Star Cinema brings Thai Superstar, Mario Maurer in his Thai horror-comedy-romance flick "Pee Mak" in selected theaters nationwide. Pee Nak is one of the highest grossing film of all time in Thailand. The movie is an adaptation of Mae Nak Phra Khanong Legend of Thai folklore. It was released in March 28, 2013 in Thailand and premieres in Philippines on August 28, 2013.
The story started during the Rattanakosin Kingdom, Mak (Mario Maurer) leaves his pregnant wife Nak at home in Phra Khanong and become a soldier. Nak struggles to give birth to their baby alone. When Mak went home after the war living with his wife, the rumors in Phra Khanong goes around the town that Nak is already a ghost.
