Party's Over for GMA's Party Pilipinas

The Kapuso Sunday afternoon variety show Party Pilipinas aired their final episode this Sunday, May 19.
Party Pilipinas was first launched last March 28, 2010 as the replacement for a ten-year-old sunday noontime show SOP (Sobrang Okay Pare).

"In a few weeks, there will be exciting changes in Sunday nontime offering of GMA. The new musical variety show will have more fun and thrilling elements that viewers must definitely watch out for, still with the biggest and brightest Kapuso stars. More information on the show will be announced soon," statement given by Ms. Lilybeth Rasonable, GMA's OIC for Entertainment TV.

PP performers expressed their gratitude for those who supported the show.
"Sa lahat ng sumuporta sa amin sa Part Pilipinas, salamat! It has been an awesome 3 years. We will never forget you. We love you.", Ogie Alcasid tweeted.
"Thank you for supporting Party Pilipinas next week will be our last! Thanks so much for ur love and until next time." , Jaya tweeted.

A new program will replace the three-year-old "concert party" with only 18 celebrity hosts.
