Gwiyomi Craze on Local Celebs

After Gangnam Style captured the netizen, here comes a new internet craze "Gwiyomi". This was first popularized in South Korea upon YouTube video released by Hari, a South Korean indie singer-songwriter, performing cute hand gestures to accompany the song.

Gwiyomi (pronounced as Kiyomi) is a South Korean slang for "cute" or "cute person", somewhat similar to Japanese term "Kawaii".

It became more popular with continuous spread of videos in the internet in Asian countries.In the Philippines, local celebrity explore their own versions and now becoming viral on channels.

Comedian TV host, Vice Ganda introduce his adaptation in "It's Showtime", a noon time variety show last April.

Famous cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao posted her edition online after massive requests from fans. To date, her video has reached a total of 2.8 M views.

Yeng Constantino's granted the Yengsters' request and uploaded to her Official Facebook Page.
