Co-GMA Reporters Reactions Against Vice Ganda

Jessica Soho and Vice Ganda
Fellow GMA reporters bashed Vice Ganda, ABS-CBN comedian-host, for making rape jokes about GMA Executive and news anchor Jessica Soho during his blockbuster concert last May 17.

"Bakit mo binibiktima ang mga taong seryoso sa trabaho nila? Huwag mo silang kasangkapanin para lang makapagpatawa. Bakit hindi taga-diyan sa inyo ang gawin mong subject ng jokes mo? Bakit hindi taga-ABS?", Arnold Clavio vented his anger on his DZBB morning radio talk show, May 28.
"Papatulan ko na siya kasi pag di natin siya sinita. Hindi natin alam sino pa'ng isusunod niyang biktimahin", earlier statement of Arnold Clavio.

The comedian made fun of Jessica Soho's physique and joked about rape for two-minutes on his concert. Vice Ganda said any rape scene would have to be a gang rape and that the rapists would say, "Ipasok ang lechon!". "Nasaan ang apple", Vice Ganda added as this would Jessica ask.

With this remarkable segment, Vice Ganda gained haters from GMA personalities and online haters in Filipino community.

Others vented their anger through social networking media like twitter.
"Vice Ganda should realize that rape is not a joke. That rape is a form of violence. Pls RT hanggang umabot sa kanya", tweeted Maki Pulido, @makipulido.

"Para kay Vice Ganda, personal ko ito. Hindi joke ang salitang 'rape'. Pakiretweet po hanggang makaabot sa kanya.", tweeted Jiggy Manicad, @jiggymanicad.

"Vice Ganda, sana di mo maranasan maging rape victim. Saglit mong patawa sa concert, buong buhay nilang trauma. @viceganda @jiggymanicad", tweeted Bam Alegre, @BamAlegre.

"Rape is never funny and it shouldn't ever be used in comedy. You could've done better Vice Ganda. That joke was NOT funny.", tweeted Mark Zambrano, @markzambrano.

"So I just watched that Vice Ganda Jessica Soho + rape joke clip and... My God. That was not even remotely funny. That was just plain rude.", tweeted Miguel Lago, @jm_lago.

"Rape is not a joke and should never be material for a comedy concert. I thank all those who shared my hurt and expressed their support but this should not be about me but about the rape victims who suffer tremendously from this terrible crime. The horrors they go through are unspeakable and should never be taken lightly, especially by way of cruel joke.", a statement released by Ms. Jessica Soho.

Soho is the Vice President for News and Programs of GMA Network. She is also the host of  GMA's top-rated program, "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" and GMA News TV "State of the Nation". She was repeatedly ranked as the most trusted news personality in the country.

Here's a clip on Vice Ganda's rape joke to Jessica Soho.
